Post-secondary Presentation by Guidance Department – October 27th School Council Meeting
Parents and guardians are invited to the School Council Meeting on Monday, October 27th at 7:00 p.m. in the School Library. It’s a great opportunity to stay connected and learn about what’s happening at our school.
At this meeting, our Head of Guidance, Ms. Rai, will share key insights on post-secondary applications — including important deadlines, the OUAC and OCAS processes, applying to schools in other provinces, the U.S., and internationally, as well as scholarships, financial assistance, and credit transfers.
Parents who would like to learn more or ask specific questions can also visit her information booth outside the Guidance Office on Parent-Teacher Interview Night, Thursday, October 23rd.
We look forward to seeing you on October 27th at the School Council meeting and working together to support our students’ success!
We Need Your Help – Support Thornlea’s School Spirit!
The Student Activity Council (SAC) fee keeps Thornlea’s vibrant school life going strong. Without it, many of the clubs, events, and activities that make our community engaging simply would not be possible.
Because extra-curricular activities are not supported by government funding, your contribution is essential. Every dollar goes directly toward enriching our students’ experience—physically, socially, and emotionally.
This $35 annual fee (paid through School Cash Online) funds over 40 clubs, arts showcases, wellness events, STEM and Math contests, spirit days, Culture Day, Thornstock, sustainability projects, Grade 9 Orientation, performances, and even transportation for field trips and sports.
For 2025–26, students who pay the SAC fee will also receive discounts on Homecoming and Prom tickets!
Please take a moment to pay the SAC fee today and help keep Thornlea’s school spirit alive. Thank you for your continued support!
